Privacy Policy
Effective June 10, 2026
DockTally ("we," "us") is a recordkeeping application for produce operations. This policy explains what information the DockTally app and website collect, how it's used and stored, and the choices you have. The short version: your operation's records belong to your operation. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address and password (passwords are hashed; we never see them in plain text), and your role within your operation.
- Business records you enter. The operational data your team logs in the app — receiving, packing, storage, shipping, client, invoice, and compliance records, and the names on your managed lists (varieties, fields, packers, suppliers, haulers, locations, clients).
- Documents you upload or scan. Photos and scans of business documents you choose to digitize (e.g., packing sheets, bills of lading, receipts).
We do not collect your location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and the app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
How we use it
- To provide the service: storing your records, generating your documents (tags, bills of lading, invoices, compliance registers), and syncing across your team's devices.
- Document digitization. When you scan or upload a document for digitizing, its image is processed by an AI service (Anthropic's Claude API) solely to extract the data on it for your review. It is not used to train AI models.
- To secure the service and comply with legal obligations.
How it's stored and protected
- Data is hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL) infrastructure, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Tenant isolation: every record is bound to your operation and protected by database-level row security — members of one operation cannot read or write another operation's data.
- Access within your operation is role-based (owner, office, receiver, field manager).
Sharing
We share data only with the service providers that run DockTally (Supabase for hosting; Anthropic for the document-extraction feature described above), and when required by law. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Retention and deletion
Your records are kept for as long as your operation's account is active — recordkeeping is the point of the product. You can deactivate list entries in-app, and you may request deletion of your account and its data at any time by contacting us; we'll complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention.
Your choices
- Camera and photo access are optional and used only for the document features; you can revoke them anytime in iOS Settings.
- You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your data at the contact below.
Children
DockTally is a business tool, not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and note the new effective date.
